Poetry and translation from Korean by Ihlwha Choi

DRAGONFLY 2
A dragonfly
is flying before a spider’s web.
It is in danger,
like a child playing beside a puddle.
“Hey! Hey! Watch out!”
I cry out in alarm,
but the dragonfly pays no attention.
Perhaps dragonflies have no ears.
