All submissions need to be in .doc format and double spaced (in case of prose only) with the name of the writer on top with the title. Please send your submissions with a brief third person bio (30 words or lesser) and a photograph of yourself. Submissions need to be original and in English.
Simultaneous or multiple submissions will not be considered. Please submit only one piece per month.
Please, do write in the body of the email with your submission, confirming your work is original, not AI assisted and has not been submitted to other websites. Please state these in an accompanying letter in the body of the email.
Please send your entry as an email to editor@borderlessjournal.com with a .doc attachment and pictures as jpg images. Be sure to write your name on the top of your submission. In the subject line, please state your genre (like poetry, fiction or non-fiction).
Prose
- Essays (literary, contemplative or quirky) on any issue that makes you react passionately of upto 1000 to 4000 words. We do not publish academic papers.
- Flash fiction of upto 1000 words or fiction upto 3000 words.
- Reviews … Please pitch any book, play or movie that makes you feel you need to share with the world.
Poetry
Up to 30 lines at the most. It can be as less as six or eight lines. Poetry preferably should be single-spaced. We look for originality in thoughts, presentation and perceptions that rise above the mundane.
Please give us four weeks to consider your submission. Then you can write to enquire. If you do not hear within two months, please inform us if you want to submit elsewhere.
Note: All submissions are voluntary. We suggest you browse our content and check our mission and vision statement before submitting.
We reserve the right to republish articles from our journal in hard copy. As we are an advertisement-free site, any proceeds we make on anthologies from the journal goes to the upkeep of the site. Those whose articles are picked for anthologies will be informed by email.
We do not accept abusive language. We do not give reasons for rejection. And we edit pieces to suit our needs. We do not accept incorrect/ bad grammar or simultaneous submissions.
What not to do: Please do not submit writings that are abusive, disrespectful, non-inclusive, create borders or fan hatred and divides. After we publish your piece, if you ask us to take off your article from our site for any reason at all, you will be banned from publishing in our site in the future. We do not allow bad language, abuse or threats against our journal, editors or contributors.
