Dust
Dust in the mouth
Do you taste the victory whose reason
you have long forgotten,
Or the defeat whose arrival terrorises your nights?
Does it matter?
Whether it is the romantic reminder
of stardust beginnings,
Or the foreteller of its entropic end?
