Monastery Lores

By Noopur Vedajna Das

LUNG TA/DARCHOG

Triangular thin
cloth flags,
Lung ta,
fluttering
along
the winding path
to the monastery.

Colourful
in their appeal,
red, blue, green
yellow and white,
the Darchog,
for peace
and tranquility,
a heavenly abode
high in the mountains,

Soon blown
to smithereens
by the blast
of the
vicious wind.
